Lauris Pommier Obituary
SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Lauris C. Broussard Pommier, age 92, who died on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery .
Bishop Michael Jarrell will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lector will be Brittany Boudreaux. Giftbearers will be Kristie Sturm and Jeannette Pop.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Boudreaux; her son, John Edward Broussard and wife Betty; 5 grandchildren, Kurt and Donnie Boudreaux, Kristie Sturm, Tommy Broussard, and Jeannette Pop; 9 great grandchildren, Brittany, Lindsey, Sydney, Eddie, and Cole Boudreaux, Emily and Owen Sturm, Stefan Broussard, and Iulian Pop.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Broussard; her second husband, Howard Pommier; her parents, Ernest Joseph Clark and the former Helen Hebert; five brothers and two sisters; and her son in law, Larry Lee Boudreaux.
Lauris was a native Maurice, resided in Loreauville for 17 years, and was a resident of Lafayette for the past 6 years. She and her first husband owned and operated E & L Broussard Grocery Store on Johnston Street for many years. She loved traveling in their motor home, dancing, fishing, and decorating and participating in Mardi Gras festivities. She will best be remembered as a loving mother who was truly devoted to her family.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
