I don't remember my life without Margie in it.
This photo was taken in 1959 when she joined my family for forty years.
She was my world growing up. Always in a happy mood. She often sang and hummed her favorite songs, Ave Maria and Oh Holy Night.
She had an unforgettable laugh.
It was no surprise to her when all of our friends showed uo, when they smelled her rice and gravy or her famous fried chicken.
From a young age, she always told me that I could be anything I set my mind to do.
She was like a mother and one of my dearest friends.
I will miss you Margie.
And you will continue to abide in my heart forever.
