Michael Duplechain Obituary
ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Michael Duplechain, age 58, who passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Brian Taylor, pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church of Lafayette, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Duplechain was a native of Arnaudville, where he lived most of his life. He was a retired Chief of Police for Arnaudville. He was also employed with Kevin Guidry Produce Market. He loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Linda Lee Duplechain of Arnaudville; his mother, Cecile Cormier Duplechin of Arnaudville; two sons, Corey Duplechain of Broussard, Logan Duplechain and wife, Veronica, of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Aidan Duplechain, Evan Duplechain, Ronald James Duplechain; two brothers, Paul Duplechain and wife, Krystal, of Breaux Bridge, Tony Duplechain of Arnaudville; four sisters, Faye Guidry and husband, Kevin, of Arnaudville, Annette Guidry and husband, Douglas, of Cecilia, Pauline Martin and husband, Joe, of Arnaudville, Jennifer Babin and husband, Brian, of Parks; and one godchild, Candace Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul H. Duplechin.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Jonah Guidry, Tyler Martin, Trent Guidry, Tony Duplechain, Tony Duplechain, Jr., Paul Duplechain, Blake Babin and Neil Guidry.
