Rose Collette Obituary
BREAUX BRIDGE - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Friday, January 24, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rose Hayes Collette, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 pm until 9 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7 am until 10 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Thursday.
Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral service. Scriptures will be read by Ashley Dupuis and Abbey Champagne. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren.
Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. As a pastime, she enjoyed watching QVC on television.
Survivors include four daughters, Vickie Huval and husband, Michael, of Parks, Marcy Dauphine and husband, Nicky, of Nina, Tammy Scrantz and husband, Buddy, of Grand Anse, and Jamie Armentor and husband, Timothy, of Youngsville; 12 grandchildren, Brooke Huval, Casey Allen, Ashley Dupuis, Hailey Begnaud, Abbey Champagne, Maddy Scrantz, Cody Wyatt, Declan Wyatt, Saxon Wyatt, Jasmin Wyatt, Grace Wyatt, and step grandson, Ross Armentor; and six great grandchildren, Emmie Claire Allen, Barrett Dupuis, BreeAnna Scrantz Begnaud, Grayson Begnaud, Layton Champagne, and Jalen Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Etley "Buck" Joseph Collette; a daughter, Iris C. Wyatt; and her parents, Edwin and Eula Lalonde Hayes.
Pallbearers will be Michael Huval, Nicky Dauphine, Buddy Scrantz, Timothy Armentor, Saxon Wyatt, and Raoul Trosclair.
Honorary pallbearer will be Reid Collette.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her caretaker, Elrina "Tute" Lasseigne, for the wonderful care and attention given to Rose in her time of need.

My heart goes out to the family, Vickie your the one who introductes me to your mother, she was a character. I simple loved talking to her. Everytime I went to your moms with you, she was watching QVC and she welcome me like part of the family. I will surley miss her. What a reunition your mom has with her husband , daughter and parents. Now she can be with them and look over her daughter on this side and guide you. Remember she'll alwayes be with you guys.
