Theresa Lasseigne Serrette

HENDERSON - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Theresa Lasseigne Serrette, 85, who passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at her residence.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.

Fr. Lawrence Abara will officiate at the funeral mass. Reading the scriptures will be Larry Boyer. Gift bearers will be Ross and Michael Robin, Brittany and Alicia Serrette.

Survivors include her son, Melvin J. Serrette and his wife, Jeanie; her daughter, Ora Serrette; her daughter-in-law,

Lee Anna Serrette; her brothers, Clenis, Rouley and Dalfred Lasseigne; her sister, Rena Dugas; her grandchildren, Nadean Bienvenu, Elena Laviolette, Cory Vige, Shari Boudreaux, Kari Robin, Daniel David and Sasha Serrette; her great-grandchildren, Shauna Bienvenu, Brice Bienvenu, Layla Serrette, Gage, Jace and Jacie Laviolette, Ashley, Brittany and Alisha Serrette, Ryan Boudreaux, Derek, Ross and Michael Robin, Taylor, Jordan and Hayden Serrette and Lane David; her great-great grandchildren, Makylah, Kyle and Kaegan Serialle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton "Peru" Serrette; her parents Clebert and Ora Albert Lasseigne; her sons, Clifton "C.J." Serrette, Jr. and Jimmy Serrette; her grandchild, Miles Serrette; her sisters, Viola Robichaux, Marie Girouard, Kin Courville, Juliet Granger and Nelda Thibodeaux and her brother, Patrick Lasseigne.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Monday.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Daniel David, James Allen Castille, Raymond Bienvenu, Jason Vige, Derek Robin and Ryan Boudreaux.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
