Yvonne Blanchard Obituary
HOUSTON - Yvonne Millet Blanchard, 94, passed away in Houston on April 4, 2013. She was a resident of Houston, Texas and was born on February 9, 1919 in Gramercy, Louisiana and moved at a young age with her family to New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1956 she moved to Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband and children where she resided until 2001.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Louis Joseph Millet, Alicia DeRoach Millet; her husband, Arthur Eli Blanchard Jr.; one grandson, Douglas Arthur Brashier; six sisters and one brother. She is survived by one daughter, Yvette Blanchard of Houston, Texas; two sons, Arthur Blanchard and his wife, Marti of Aiken, South Carolina, and Frederick Blanchard of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Ann Kaltenbaugh and husband Ron, Lynn Pennington and husband Paul, Amy Lorch and husband Michael, Cynthia Hewett and her husband Jason, Pamela Gearhart and husband Steve; twelve great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caitlin, Erin, Jennifer, Meghan, Samuel, Anthony, Douglas, Benjamin, Samantha, David and Derek; and one sister Yolande Haggerty.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Crowder Funeral Home of Clear Lake (Houston), Texas from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Houston Texas on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana the following day. Those wishing to make a charitable donation in lieu of flowers, in Yvonne Millet Blanchard memory may do so to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America or The American Juvenile Diabetes Association.
