I attempted to sign the guest book while on vacation, out of the country, but it didn't work. I just wanted to tell the family that I knew Al for a long time and liked him a lot. He was one of the good guys. My sympathy to all.

Dearest Brent,

I'm SO SORRY I couldn't make it in to celebrate the wonderful life of your dear father. Please remember what a very wise Bahamian man told me at a time when I was very weak...the very air that you breathe through your nose is the breath of God. When those we love pass on, they become part of that breath. They are with God, and still with you.

Love you and Kelli very much,

Mikelyn

My mother (Agnes Molliere) and I worked for Mr. Bankston. He was a very gentle boss, and just a wonderful man. I remember his smiling face coming through the bindery department. He always spoke and always had a kind word to say. He will be truly missed by all who ever knew him. My mother (Agnes) says she remembers these things and more, all of the fishing trips they made to the camp. She is truly saddened by his passing also. May God bestow His peace and blessing on the whole family in your time of loss of such a wonderful man.

The world has lost a truly great man in the loss of Mr. B. He made working at BRP a wonderful experience. He and Mrs. Pattie's life together in marriage and in business are an inspiration to us all. The tears we shed are in rememberance of a great person and friend. May your good memories warm your heart and help you heal in this time of loss. Kevin, Jennifer, Dr. B. and especially Mrs. Pattie you are in my prayers for healing during this trying time. Love to you all.

I would like to offer my deepest regrets to the Bankston family. While working with Mr. Bankston sometimes we were like cats & dogs, but always we had a deep respect for each other. He was always good for a laugh, a tall tale, and a good fishing trip. Mr.Bankston's greatest love was his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Dear Bankston Family:

Condolences to the Bankston Family from the Claitor Family.

I was friends with Albert for 40 yrs or more, and it was always a pleasure to be around him. He spoke the truth directly, and it was never difficult to figure out what he meant, like it is with so many others.

He set a fine example...........and his example lives on in his outstanding children who contribute as good citizens in the mold by Albert and wife.

Albert, rest in peace.

Blessed be Albert.

Your friends,

Bob Claitor and the Claitor Family

It's been 30 years since I met Mr. B. During that time he made himself available whenever one was in need. The smiles on his face and kind ways shall never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy goes to the family. May the Lord heal each of you during this difficult time as well, give you the strength and courage to know that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you.

In my memory, I can hear Albert's consistently-uplifting delivery of the words "good afternoon." And I remember the feeling of comfort and reassurance that always followed a conversation with him. Albert had a way of making everything just right. What a businessman, what a gentleman, what a model and mentor. What a void and a loss. My sympathy to Pattie, Kevin, Jennifer and Brent ... he was a truly admirable man.

I remember Al as an upper class man at Baton Rouge High School along with his sweet wife. Always a smile on his face, & a gentleman in every respect and a honest man. I've thought of him a lot in the last 5 years because of his son who did magical work on my poor old knees. Brent reminded me of his father & all the memories were great. I am so sorry for your loss and will pray that you are going to be at peace with his passing. Always in my thoughts - and, if Brent is any reflection of the rest of the family, they got it honest... from parents that are really special.

I would like to express my sympathy to the Bankston family. I have been a client of Baton Rouge printing for several years. I first met Mr. Bankston and his wife when they invited a group of "the girls" for a weekend fishing trip from their camp in Fourchon, LA. I was fortunate enough to enjoy several of these annual trips with the Bankstons. They made each of us feel as though we were a part of their family. I will never forget all of the entertaining stories that Mr. Bankston would tell us as we were fishing. I also remember on the last trip he told us that he would boil crabs for us if we would catch our own crabs. He took us out in the marsh and taught us how to "run crab cages". We had so much fun. I have many fond memories of Mr. Bankston and feel blessed for the time that I was able to spend getting to know he and his family. The Bankston family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Kevin,

Adele at Irby-Moore told me of your loss. I remember your dad as a great guy, who always managed a warm smile, for the advertising community..not always an easy feat. He is missed.

I met Albert Bankston briefly years ago and he would probably have never remebered me, but I always heard good things of his company and he had some really great employees working for him from time to time. The printing community will miss another great human being with his passing. Thanks Albert for your contribution.

Albert gave me my first job when I moved back to Baton Rouge in 1976. He took a chance on someone with no experience and made me part of the Baton Rouge Priting family. I have fond memories of my 8 years working there with such great people that I still miss until this day. Although its been many years since I've seen Albert, he has often been in my thoughts. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Albert M. Bankston was my employer for 27 years but more than that, he was my friend for those years. I also consider his family as part of my family and wish to express my sincere sympathy to each of them in the passing of this wonderful man.
