Alvin N. "Bubbie" Stevens Jr.

Alvin N. "Bubbie" Stevens Jr., 57, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joyce Lamonica Stevens, of Independence; and mother, Audrey "Sook" Stevens; sister, Brenda S. Catalanotto; and niece, Christy Catalanotto, all of Amite. Also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Rose Lamonica; sister-in-law, Kathy Lamonica; uncle and aunt, Sonny and Rosalie Garofalo; cousins, Larry, Jody, Todd, Ronnie, Ryan, Fallyn, Michael and Dusty Garofalo and the little cousin on the way who will be his namesake, (Wyatt Alvin Garofalo), all of Independence. Preceded in death by his father, Alvin "Pee Wee" Stevens; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Stevens; and maternal grandparents, Desiree and Mary Bass Bennett. Bubbie was a very loving and caring man who was also dearly loved by his entire family. As per his wishes, Bubbie was cremated and no official service was held.
