Bennie Clark Obituary

Bennie Ray Clark Jr., resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years old on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1938, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Bennie and Dorothy Davidson Clark Sr. He was a graduate of Will Rogers High School in OK and a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps Reserve. He is survived by his wife Lynette Provost Clark, Sister Barbara and husband Lee Roy Lay, Daughter Sherri Clark Kurtz and husband Tom Kurtz, Daughter Shirley Clark Bingham and husband Chris Bingham, Son Phillip Clark, Son Scott Clark and wife Heather Knippers Clark, Granddaughters Sara Chauvin Kendrick, Nicole Cugno Iacono, Amanda Bingham, Katy Kurtz, Sydney Bingham, Sarah, Ellie, and Olivia Knippers, and his Great-Grandchildren Alexandra Chauvin, Andrew Kendrick, Carley Kendrick, Nicolas Iacono, Andrew Iacono and many Nieces and Nephews. He always put God and Family First. Family was his number one passion and joy. Whether it was enjoying his Family at Thanksgiving or watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren open presents on Christmas. Family was always his number one passion and joy. Aside from the love he had for his prized Corvette. He also enjoyed watching his favorite OU football team on the weekends at his Daughter Shirley's even if he occasionally had to watch LSU. He enjoyed many years as an Instrumentation Designer at F.C. Schaffer, Exxon, Georgia Gulf, and Rubicon. He was a Loving Father and Faithful Friend and will be missed Greatly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Bennie and Dorothy Davidson Clark Sr. and Sisters Mary Brogstrom, Memory Bledsoe and Janie Clyma. Services will be held at the Church of Christ, 118 St Louis St., Denham Springs, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday at 1:00 pm and service will be held at 2:00 pm with dinner to directly follow.

Sherri, Shirley and Scott. We love all of you so much and our hearts break for each of you. Your daddy loved you with all his heart and loved spending time with each of you.
