I am a teacher at Fred F. Florence this year. Mr. Joseph gave me my first chance to educate our city's youth. I came to admire him as a principal, mentor and he was like a big brother to me. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bryant, but I did meet Charrell at the No Limit Women's Expo and had an opportunity to eat at Salad Creations.
It's not always clear why the Lord calls us home when He does, but we have to trust Him. The Lord will always comfort you.
Keep the words from Proverbs 3:5-6 in your heart.

Please know that God is still in control and he will never leave us nor forsake us...We all grew up together in Scott United Methodist Church in Port Allen, La., where everyone was family...Mrs. Joseph, you and Mr. Joseph were the model parents for all the children and young adults at Scott..You both expected nothing but the best and you both shared and modeled those expectations with all the children who are currently young adults whether you knew it or not. My condolences and prayers go out to the Joseph family. I have many pleasant memories of Bryant as a neighbor(in baton rouge), classmate, and friend. Though it had been a couple of years since I spoke with Bryant, after reading several of the postings, it appears that he remained to be the same intelligent,outgoing, and respectful individual I knew. Bryant appeared to be very accomplished, as evidenced by his career and business venture. Most of all, it appears that Bryant was a very loving and caring husband and parent. In short, Bryant lived a life that rivaled the best. As a result of his life contributions, he has made this world a better place for those who knew him. I will continue to keep the Joseph family in my prayers.

Mr. Joseph was a wonderful person. He cared about our children and I am greatful that my son got to attend Florence under his leadership. I will never forget the two occasions he brought my son home, because he thought he was going to be hurt by another student.
