A resident of Morganza and native of Crisp, Texas, he was born Dec. 20, 1916, to Felix Delbert McLemore and Anna Elizabeth Rhodes McLemore. On Sept. 11, 1939, he married the love of his life, Marie Ella Crochet, in Morganza. Married for 69 years, they raised four children making sure they all received college educations. For many years they traveled and lived wherever his work took them but they always returned to Morganza, the place that brought them together.
