Dale John Brou passed away peacefully at 7:45 am, Monday, February 21, 2022, at St Joseph Hospice Carpenter House, Baton Rouge. He was born August 25, 1930, McCall, Louisiana. He was currently residing at Magnolia Brook Assisted Living, Baton Rouge; formerly a resident of Luling for 62 years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Brown Brou, one daughter, Deborah Brou Kinler (Robert), Fairhope, Alabama, 2 sons, Donald James Brou (Glenda) Baton Rouge, Jeffrey John Brou (Tina), Luling; 4 grandchildren, Kali Brou Norton (Cory Oubre), Hammond, Annie Kinler Matherne (Reice), Metairie, Shelli Brou DuRousseau, (Jean Pierre "JP"), Denham Springs, and Delaini Ellen Brou, Luling; 2 great-grandchildren, Marin Elizabeth Oubre and Beau Alexandre' DuRousseau; brother, Lynn Brou (Michelle). Baton Rouge, sister, Margaret Brou Pizzolato (Vince), Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by parents, Clemil Joseph Brou and Palmire Robert Brou; siblings, Majorie Brou (Sister Margaret), Joseph ("JC") Brou, Warren Brou Sr., Marie Richard, Harold Brou, Grace Waguespack, Joan Agosta and Kenneth Brou. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 25 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lakewood Drive, Luling, Louisiana, from 9:30 am to 11 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 am. A repast will follow Mass for family and friends at Holy Family Catholic Church Community Center. According to Dale's wishes, his body was donated to Bureau of Anatomical Services/LSU for medical research. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holy Family Catholic Church Luling, LA (Life Center Renovations) or a charity of your choice.
