Earl John "BB" Light

Earl "BB" John Light passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the age of 86. He retired from Georgia Gulf, and was a life-long resident of Bayou Sorrel, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 9am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Mitch Collier. Earl is survived by his children, Kirk Light, Lynn Light and wife Jessica, Kristy Light, and Frances Smith and husband Scottie; grandchildren, Lisa Carline, Courtney Pearce, Garrett Pearce, Paige Smith, Tyler Light, Jesslyn Light, Shawn Carline and Scottie Smith, Jr.; great grandchildren, Slayde D., Maddox D., Gavyn R. Zayne R., Landyn R., Levi P., Saylor P., Asher P., Sophia G., Grayson G., Natalie G., Lucas L., and Summer C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Theresa Light; daughters, Earline Pearce and Lola Light; grandson, Byron Carline; and parents, Lambert and Elmira Light. Pallbearers will be Kirk and Lynn Light, Scottie Smith, Shawn Carline, and Slayde Demoulin. Earl enjoyed spending time at home, he especially looked forward to his monthly shopping trips with his granddaughter, Paige.
