Elise Newchurch

Elise LeJeune Newchurch, a native of Blanks and lifelong resident of Maringouin, she passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:30 am at the age of 103. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Newchurch; son and daughter in law, Henry and Carmen Newchurch; grandchildren, Todd Newchurch and wife Shannon, Julie Jarreau and husband Brent; great grandchildren, Chloe Jarreau and Charlie Newchurch; sisters, Ruby Shows and Rita Ivey; brother, Roy LeJeune; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Albert L. Newchurch, parents, Ovide and Evelina Andre LeJeune; sister, Ruth Stabiler; brothers, Woodrow LeJeune, Ishmael LeJeune, Franklin LeJeune, Howard LeJeune and Newton Ray LeJeune. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church in Maringouin on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Todd Newchurch, Brent Jarreau, Leslie LeJeune, Ronny Newchurch, Glynn LeJeune and Shane Shows. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy LeJeune, Jess and J.O. Shows and Harold Stabiler.
