Glenn Bjorndahl Obituary

Glenn Robert Bjorndahl, age 84, passed away on August 27, 2024 in Biloxi, MS. He was a resident of Baton Rouge for 48 years, and lived in Biloxi for the last 7 years. He was born in Hawley, MN in 1940. In 1959, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served 10 years as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his son Chris, and grandson, Lil Johnny. He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Johnny (Shelli), Fritzi (Phil); 5 grandchildren, Craig, Jesse, Maggi, Astrid, Natasha; 6 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Blaze. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Baton Rouge, LA. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi, is serving the family. Loved B.J from the day I met him. He was a very kind friend, for more 50 years. Cannot say enough good about. Will be truly missed.

Many years ago when I worked at BASF in the maintenance department, Glenn was an engineer there. Had a fascination with antique tractors and went to tractor rallies every year. One year he brought me a mug back from the rally and I still have that mug. Whenever I grab the mug, I think of Glenn. He was always a good guy with a smile on his face.
