To the family of Hosea´s late wife Essie Henry, it saddened us when we heard the passing of Dad Hosea Henry. As you know, we have been a part of your Dad Hosea Henry´s, life for 56 years. He was a kind man with a BIG smile and HUGE heart! Your Mom Essie and Dad Hosea extended their love to us and treated everyone as family.
I remember tent camping and boating with your parents during my teenage youth, my young adult life and now my life as a senior adult. I remember Dad Hosea taking approximately 12 of us kids boating in several trips, teaching all of us how to water-ski! He was joyful with us and he always spent the entire day us; while Mom Essie would be cooking up a storm for our return! I have a lifetime of memories, and one of my funniest memories was when I was afraid to let go of the rope when I fell water-skiing! I was holding on under the water for dear life and Dad Hosea had to convince me to let go. I did not want the boat to leave me and I caused him to laugh a long time! Another memory was, when I was skiing in a sitting position and Dad Hosea was telling me just standup straight! Well, I never did and that also made for a very funny site. Dad Hosea had some good laughs! Some of us mastered the sport of water-skiing, but my best was the sitting position! Another memory, was when Mom Essie purchased her grand, beautiful RV. Mr. Hosea just smiled and went along with Mom´s desires. Mom Essie mastered driving her RV everywhere while Dad Hosea had the pleasure of the passenger seat that is until she started getting into accidents. Dad Hosea just kept going with Mom Essie with a smile, he was a trouper. Later in my senior life they introduced me and my husband to their RV Club, "The Happy Wanderers". Now, because of your parents, to this day I am a member of the Happy Wanderers´ RV Club. Dad Hosea was a man of few words but his actions has been very instrumental in demonstrating to us how to live, love and share with others. He was indeed a delightful man who loved children and people.
On behalf of the Happy Wanderers´ RV Club, please accept our heartfelt condolences of your Dad, who is our beloved Honorary Member. He was a great member and will be missed by all of us. We are praying for the entire family! It is customary for the Happy Wanderers´ to appear at funeral services in our RV uniforms as we did for Mrs. Essie Henry. Due, to the distance now, we stand with you in spiritual uniforms, our Blue & White in honor and love.
