Aunt Peggy, Andy, and the Cook family. I will miss Uncle James dearly. I know you all know how special he is and he will live on forever in our hearts. Uncle James walked me down the aisle 35 years ago when my father was not in my life. You came and dedicated my son to the Lord when he was born. Most importantly you told me "Remember, a family who prays together stays together" Which you did and would have celebrated 57 years of marriage to Aunt Peggy this month. God Bless and we love you all.

I'm so sorry we can't come for the funeral. I have loved Uncle James my whole life. I spoke with him often on the phone, where we always had lots of laughter. He was a wonderful, joyful, and spiritual person. I will miss you, but I know you will be watching over us. Love to all the family. oxox

I had the privilege of working at Ochsner during Mr. Cook's time there. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. He always did his job to perfection, going out of his way whenever necessary to serve others. In so doing, he made a difference in the lives of those who knew him.

I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know many members of his family. They all reflect his kindness and consideration toward others.

Mr. James Cook was, quite simply, one of the kindest people I have ever known.

May he rest in peace with the Lord.
