Jean Mae Pohlmann Piediscalzo Abene, of Hammond, Louisiana, went peacefully with our Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 82. Preceded in death by her father, James John Pohlmann; mother, Marceline Deffes Pohlmann; and brother, James Pohlmann. Devoted wife of Frank H. Abene for 24 years. Former wife of Joseph I. Piediscalzo. Beloved mother of Ann Piediscalzo Fox (Rodney), Stephen Piediscalzo (Adine), and Lisa Piediscalzo LeBlanc (John). Proud grandmother of Rodney Jr., Ross (Elizabeth), and Kristen Fox, Chase (Molly) and Blake Piediscalzo, Abby and Katie LeBlanc. Great-grandmother of Amelia Mae Fox and Stephen James Piediscalzo II. Also survived by her brothers, Anthony Pohlmann (Tone) and Robert Pohlmann (Bob); stepchildren, Frank A. Abene (Judy), Linda Manner (Doug), and Karen Crawford (Steve); 5 step grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday at 11:00 am, with Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina officiating.
