I worked with Jack a long time at Hailey McNamara before Katrina, and I last saw him a couple years ago at a Hornets game where he was sitting right in front of me. It was a great shock to read of Jack's passing. I met him through the FBA and immediately was drawn to his personality. Jack was a force to be reckonned with at the same time he was kind and understanding. I wonder if he asked St. Peter when he entered the Pearly Gates, "So, where's my name tag?" Not that he really ever needed one, since people knew when Jack was in the room and who he was. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I first met Jack at Jesuit in 1972 - our lockers were near each other. We discussed the fact the his father was the doctor who delivered me. I last saw him at our JHS reunion in 2011 and, upon leaving, we brought that up again. He was as vibrant as ever. I was fortunate enough to begin Camp Sunshine as a counselor when both Jack and Eny were there. But I was truly blessed to continue going long enough to meet and get to know all five of their exceptional daughters. My only regret is that I was not there the past couple of years to meet Jack Jr. as well. If Jack's greatest legacy is his children then you have all made him very proud. I regret that I cannot be there tomorrow, but I pray that the Camp Sunshine/Starlite family will be there to support you. You are such a wonderful family and my prayers are with you all.
