John Adam "Johnny" Guerin

A chemical analyst and a resident of Ollie Steele Burden Manor in Baton Rouge, he died at 6:48 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007. He was 82, a lifelong resident of Ventress and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Roads, on Monday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Entombment in False River Memorial Park Mausoleum, New Roads. Survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Myria and David Butler, Simone and Mike Ginn, all of Baton Rouge, Jeanne and Chad Olinde, of New Roads and Suzanne and Jack Kellerman, of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Andre and Fran Guerin, of Ventress; son-in-law, Richard Burrows, of Prestwood, England; two sisters, Honorine Russo and Hazel Grezaffi; brother, Doug Guerin; and 16 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Guerin; daughter, Aggie Burrows; granddaughter, Christina Ginn; three sisters, Norma Martinez, Agnes Jewell and Christine Goudeau; and two brothers, Charles Guerin and Russell Guerin. Pallbearers will be David Butler III, Stephen Butler, Patrick Butler, Ryan Ginn, Garrett Venable and Mike Ginn. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Ollie Steele Burden Manor for their love, care and support.
