Words cannot express how I felt when I heard "Pettie" had passed. I thought of all the vacations we shared with our children. To know "pettie" was to love him, because once you got to know him, you fell in love with him. I am so glad I got to see him on last month. Just know that you have a lot to be thankful for. God gave you 42 years with him and that it self is a blessing. We love you all, Jackie Bynum and Monique West

To the family; I only met Pettie once or twice but, he quickly found a way into my heart. He was such a sweet person during his stay here. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. You have our deepest sympathy. We will missed pettie riding his bicycle through Byrd Station. It was a joy knowing Pettie for such a long time. Ms. Eva, please remember weeping may endure for a night, but joyth comes in the morning. Pettie is at rest. He is home with the Lord now. The Lord will take care of him.
