Kenneth Michael "Mike" Galik

1959 - 2024

Kenneth Michael "Mike" Galik was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on January 13, 1959, to Pete C. and Patricia Soileau Galik. He passed away on February 23, 2024, at age 65. Mike graduated from Redemptorist High School and joined the Navy. He was a member of the Veterans Association, Our Lady of Sorrows, and the VFW. Mike was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Paul L. Galik. He is survived by his father; sister, Norma "Susie" Goodwin (Winston); brother, Bradley Galik (Jodie); aunts, Gloria Shelton and Shirley Fischer; uncles, Danny Williams (Sue), Mike Galik, and Ronnie Galik; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends Mike held dear to his heart. Also, a special thanks to the Vercher and Saale families. A visitation will be held at Central Funeral Home on Thursday, February 29, from 5 – 8 pm. Mass will be held at 10 am on March 1 at Our Lady of Sorrows, conducted by Father Luke DeMeyer. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and a reception will take place afterwards at the reception hall of the church.
