Lawrence Edward Seguin, Jr.

Lawrence Edward Seguin, Jr., 80, of Centreville, MS and former resident of Baker, LA, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Baton Rouge General. Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, June 18, 2018 at Centreville Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Day officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until time of service Monday at the Church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home. Mr. Seguin was born November 24, 1937 in Baton Rouge, La to the late Lawrence Edward Seguin, Sr. and Bernice Craft Seguin. Mr. Seguin was a retired Supervisor with Reynolds Metal/Alcoa. He was a member of Centreville Baptist Church, avid golfer and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant daughter. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Betty Baughman Seguin of Centreville, MS; one daughter Pam Jackson & husband Mike of Centreville, MS; one son Larry Seguin & wife Kim of Greenwell Springs, La; five grandchildren Cally McLean, Rachel Longmire, Alana McDaniel, Rhett Seguin and Rory Seguin, 5 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter expected in July, one sister Pellie Aultman & husband Terry of Centreville, MS, two brothers Richard W. Seguin & wife Lari of Zachary, LA and Charles M. Seguin & wife Lorraine of Ventress, LA. Pallbearers will be Rory Seguin, Rhett Seguin, Terry Aultman, Richie McLean, Brett Longmire, John McDaniel, Leo Bickford, Vaughn Benoit, Lynn Hernandez, and Mike Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Baker Golf Group and the Pine Hills Golf Group.
