Lorenzo A. McClain

Lorenzo A. McClain was born on January 12, 1977 to the late Lizzie Rogers and Felton Bennett. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA until his passing on January 4, 2014 in Norfolk, VA where he was a resident. He graduated high school from Southern University Laboratory School and later ITT Technical College. Lorenzo married Alicia Perkins in 1998. To this union, one child was born, Arian Elise. He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Felton (Joyce) Bennett and step-father Arthur Rogers. His only child, Arian McClain, sisters Felicia Bennett, Raven Bennett Robinson; brothers, Tremayne Lewis (Juanita), and Tremell Lewis. He leaves his maternal grandmother Lillian West and paternal grandmother Eloise Neff and maternal grandfather Johnny Gails. He also leaves aunts Devora Sulcer, Mary Jane Spruell (Donald), Joyce Lejeune (Gerald), Alvin Faye Bennett Profit, Beverly Bennett Taplin (Ricky), Sandra Bennett, Pamela Bennett, Jennifer Bennett, Terri Rogers (Larry), Bernadine Green (Charlie), and Linda Rogers. He leaves behind uncles Henry Wilson, Jr., Sterling Bennett, Leonard McClain (Arlene), and Ricky Rogers. He also leaves a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and other relatives. Viewing will be on Monday, January 13 at Carney & Mackey Funeral Home 1576 Robin Street Baton Rouge, LA from 4-7pm. Funeral will be on Tuesday, January 14 at Mt Olive Baptist Church Centreville, MS at 11am.
