Michael Kilore McLaughlin

Michael Kilore McLaughlin passed away on December 17, 2017.  He was 37 and a resident of Portland, Oregon.  Michael was born March 13, 1980 in Baton Rouge, LA.  He attended Runnels and Lee High School in Baton Rouge and was currently working  on his Bachelors of Computer Information Systems in Portland.   Known as "The Tiger" by his friends in Portland, Michael loved music from the 80's, and hosted "Tiggy Trivia"  at his favorite watering hole "The Hop Haven" in Portland.  He was a great Trivia DJ, with his deep baritone voice that was so recognizable the minute he began to speak.  He also loved making short films, taekwondo, and most of all being with his friends.  Michael moved to Portland in 2012, and loved exploring the many waterfalls, springs, and all the beautiful nature there. He was a loyal friend and was loved by many.  He is survived by a son, Connor Constantine McLaughlin, father Red McLaughlin and wife Jane, mother Sherry Boyer Staser and husband Bill, brother Sean and wife Rebekah, and nieces Isabella and Genevieve McLaughlin, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by his aunt Ann Habig of Plano, Texas, and cousin Angie Iglinsky, her husband Patrick, and their children Gracie, Birdie, Millie and Poppy, of Plano, Texas.  Memorial services will be held for Michael in Baton Rouge and Portland.
