No one enjoyed life more than Naaman Woodland. He brought joy and love to every encounter and made the world a beautiful place for all who knew him. He gave us music and folklore and history and infused it with lots and lots of great personality. We love him very much. Sincerely, Sally and Andy Anderson

Deepest condolences to the family. Professor Woodland was truly a gentleman and a scholar. I was fortunate to have been one of his students and later to have been one of his faculty colleagues. He was a major positive influence in the lives of all who knew him.
