Patsy David Fontenot of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the age of 78. Born November 23, 1942 in New Roads, LA, she was the daughter of Lionel David and Mildred St. Romain David. Patsy is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Glynn J. Fontenot; and her loving son, David W. Fontenot. She was loving mother to her daughter, Roxanne Fontenot Brown, son-in-law, Robert Brown, daughter, Elizabeth Fontenot; proud grandmother to Brett Brown Kyle, grandson-in-law, Ryan Kyle, grandson Jarrod Brown; and beaming great-grandmother to great-grandson, Rory Kyle and great-granddaughter, Blake Kyle. She is also survived by her caring sister, Lynda David Wheat. Patsy was a graduate of Redemptorist High School class of 1960, long time active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and both active and auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. I´m so very sorry to hear about Mrs Patsy. What a wonderful servant of God she was. I have known her for many years at St Pius X. We had a beautiful congregation and she and her family were a very special part of it. I miss them all.

Having known Patsy for many years, I will remember her as the beautiful Christian woman she was. She gave of herself always to be the servant that her God wanted her to be. She wore a beautiful smile on her face no matter what she was going through. Rest in the peace of Christ my friend. You have definitely earned your place in heaven. Love you and will always remember you.
