Paul Arceneaux Jr. Obituary

Paul Oliver Arceneaux, Jr. passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the age of 86. He was born in Mamou on September 12, 1936. A graduate of Bell City High School (Class of 1954), he attended McNeese State University on a track scholarship graduating in 1958. After graduation, he served as a first lieutenant in the Army stationed in Fort Benning, GA. His insurance career started in Lake Charles with Jefferson Standard and culminated in New Orleans with Sun Life of Canada. Post retirement, he spent his days golfing, travelling, and playing music. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Bettye Jo Oakes Arceneaux; his children, Lisa Arceneaux Hennessy, Blanche Olivia Arceneaux and Paul Oakes Arceneaux; his grandchildren, Taylor Powell, Oakes Arceneaux and Payton Hennessy; and his great-granddaughter, Avonlea Jo Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Oliver Arceneaux and Virginia Berzas Arceneaux Touchet. A private service will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023. Contact the family for additional details.
