Mr Eddie and Family,
When I worked at LHOA, Mrs. Phyllis was my favorite patient. No matter how bad or weak she felt, she still kept that beautiful smile on her face, held her head high, and managed to make me laugh everytime! She would always make my day. When I left LHOA and transfered to Mary Bird Perkins in Hammond, I thought of her daily. I would e-mail LHOA staff and check on her often. Donna has been on vacation and just e-mailed me the news I was dreading. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family was truly blessed to have Mrs. Phyllis for many years and now she is in heaven smiling down on us all.

Dena,
I can't imagine how you must be feeling now, please know that my heart has been with you. My fondest memories of my childhood were spent with your family. Your mom was a second mother to me. I know you remember the day she wanted to strangle us when we were just trying to help by changing Kevin's diaper. I still loved to pick on her for that!!!!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Please let me know if you need anything.
All my love,
Lesley

Dear Eddie and family,
Diane and I have been out of town since July 1 and just found out about Phyllis this morning. We are so sorry we were not here. Both of us will always remember Phyllis as a friendly welcoming person and one who went out of her way to make us feel "part of the group" when we were new to Baton Rouge. We will miss her enthusiasm, bright smile and friendship. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Charlie and Diane

I wanted to let you know I was thinking of all of you & keeping you in my prayers. I hadn't seen Mrs. Phyllis much since I moved from Baton Rouge 3 years ago, but I've kept her in my thoughts. I always remember seeing her smile & wink from across church while I was in school at St. George. She always had a special place in my heart. I know she is watching down on all of us from heaven.

I apologize for not being in better touch with all of you during her illness.
Please call or e-mail if there is anything I can do at any time for any of you.

I did not know Phyllis personally, but being a graguate of RHS and a sorority sister in Beta Sigma Phi, I have come to know what a remarkable person she is.
God has welcomed her into His Heavenly home where she is at peace with no more pain and suffering.
May God be with you during this difficult time.

Eddie, Dean, Gary, Bruce and kids,
My sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you all. Phyllis was a wonderful woman, a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and I know that you feel her loss tremendously. I have been very blessed that you have kept me a part of this loving family for 33 years. I also feel your loss and have prayed for Phyllis and for you all every day. When I saw her at Christmas, she told me that she was going to fight this because her family needed her here and I know that she did. She had such great love for her family and it meant so much to me that she always treated my boys like her own. I cherish that and will never forget all the love, affection and attention that she gave to them over the years. They loved her very much and I know they will truly miss her. I have never met another family such as yours, the love that your family shares has always been what has made you all so close and held you all together. I pray that this special love you share will be your solace in this great loss.
Much love to all of you,
Kathy

Rispone Family,
The love and dedication to life is something that I personally think makes this truly a special family. Phyllis is a special lady that we all loved even though we did not know as well as her family. It is overwellming at times when we can not know God's path for us. Phyllis gave so much to everyone that her memories and love will last a lifetime.

Mr. Eddie and family,
Mrs. Phyllis was a fine example to us who struggle to practice our Catholic faith. Her suffering measured far longer than most of us could have endured. As our Pope John Paul II offered his up to our Lord, I am sure Mrs. Phyllis did too. Certainly, hers was lived with a quiet dignity that we all should remember.
Yes, she has departed from our presence too soon, leaving many behind who will miss her more than words can say and their tears fall from weary eyes immensely bereaved. I know that you still have an aching in your heart for her to be with you, but you can be consoled by the knowledge that she has joined our Father in Heaven.

We have known the Rispones for many years. I love all of them the same way I love my own family! I went to school with Mrs. Phyllis' older daughter Dena, same graduating class! Mrs. Phyllis had a very deep relationship with God, our father as well as her family and many friends! She is, was, and always will be a very special person to all that knew her! Our prayers are with her and her family and always will be! Mr. and Mrs. Rispone always treated me and my family with the utmost respect regardless of my professional background or beliefs! A truley wonderful woman and family that she and her husband raised! God be with you all!
We love you all! Kevin, Nicole, Alexis, Brett, and Catherine! (The Webbers)

July 3, 2005
Dear Eddie,
I attended St. Gerard and Redemptorist for 12 years. The Rispones and Moberlys were very familiar names. Pat (Theriot) Duhe and I were very good friends growing up, and I met Phyllis through Pat. Also, two of my brothers graduated with Gary and Bruce. We are all so sorry for your loss. I have kept up with Phyllis through the years as my children attend St. George and Bishop Sullivan. Her strength and ability to always have a smile on her face is something to be proud of. Having just lost my father 3 months ago, I understand your loss. All we can hope for is all the neighbors from North Baton Rouge are up there having a great party and smiling down on us as we try to continue our day-to-day lives without them. God bless you and your children.

To the Moberleys & Rispones:
I attended Redemptorist High School with the Moberley's & heard many stories from my father about his great friendship with the Heberts. I almost feel as though we are related. This past summer we stayed in the condo next to Phyllis & her family in Destin. We had the pleasure of meeting her nephews, in particular Ryan. He continues to be our special friend. Ryan brought my daughter, Alana, to Phyllis's home & family get togethers & she made her feel part of the family. I have prayed for her this past year; but her work is complete here & the Lord has called her home. All her grief & pain is over & she is at peace forever. Please take comfort in knowing that we will all be with her one day. I pray for the Lord to comfort the family at this time.

Eddie - Phyllis was such a lovely example of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. Her witness in living both her call to Christian discipleship and her commitment to living the virtues extolled by Beta Sigma Phi inspired those who came in contact with Phyllis. Please know that all Beta Sigma Phis are keeping you and your family in our prayers and that Phyllis will be missed by many.

The RHS family continues to pray for Phyllis and your family in the trouble time. Personally I would just like to say that your wife and mother was a remarkable woman. The RHS family is truly sadden, but we are forever greatful for knowing and working with Phyllis. Please don't hesitate to call upon us for anything. May God comfort you as he welcome Phyllis into His kingdom.
