Robert Anthony "Rat" Townsend

Robert Anthony "RAT" Townsend, 73, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Robert was very passionate about his music, fishing, drawing and woodworking. But his true passion was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Henry Townsend; children and their spouses, Terri Lyn and Richard Scott, and James "Jimmy" and Yonette Townsend; grandchildren, Sohn Townsend, Robert Scott, Russell Scott, Andrew Townsend, Breelyn Bercegay, Richard Scott Jr., Trace Townsend, Ryan Scott, and Ryleigh "Mei" Iveson; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Rowyn; brother, Jesse Townsend; sister, Barbara Wingate; and his brother from another mother, Jeff L. "Bruiser" Garcie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Eva Townsend; and siblings, Lee Earl Townsend and Elaine Cascio.
