Ruby Gettings Yokeum

YOKEUM, RUBY GETTINGS A resident of Colonial Heights, Va., she died at 5:08 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 2004, at the home of her daughter, DeBera Mumphrey. She was 79 and a native of Virginia. Memorial service pending in Virginia to be conducted by Pastor George Schutte. Survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Betty W. and Billy Lindsey, DeBera M. and Steve Mumphrey, Sheila Campbell and Ginger and Louis Francois; a son, Wilson Wallace; four sisters, Mildred Mendele, Christine Lautenslaughter, Sadie Slaughter and Sarah Newsome; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Gettings; mother, Lillie B. Gettings; and numerous brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
