Scotty Canezaro Obituary

Scotty Canezaro, a resident of Erwinville, LA, passed away tragically on March 26, 2023 at the age of 38. A dedicated husband and father, he was a hard-working provider and protector for his family. He loved fiercely and lived life to the fullest. He treasured spending time with his family and friends. He was passionate about cooking, going to the gym, and rescuing huskies. He never met a stranger, and he was the life of the party. Scotty took great pride in being a helicopter pilot for Baton Rouge Police Department; he thoroughly enjoyed doing demos and serving the community. He will be missed immensely by all who had the privilege and pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Chelsea Canezaro; their son, Ethan Canezaro; his mother, Toni Canezaro; his sister, Angela Canezaro; his nieces, Savannah Canezaro and Madison Morris; his father-in-law, John Chenevert; his mother-in-law, Tina Chenevert; his sisters-in-law, Claire Chenevert and Caitlyn Roberts; his brother-in-law Grant Roberts; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Canezaro; his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Doris Messina; and his paternal grandparents, Guy and Mildred Canezaro. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Istrouma Baptist Church on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 9:00 am-11:00 am. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Behind the Line, P.O. Box 2490, Denham Springs, LA 70727.

I sure will miss all of the house updates and our back porch chats. Even more looking out the window to see you barefoot cleaning out the ditch, no one floods in our hood! Running down the street barefoot with Balto, you kept us all laughing. We could not have asked for a better neighbor! You will be missed my friend!

Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family.
I had the privilege of knowing Scotty, Toni and Angela when he rode my bus as a young man. He was the sweetest and most polite little boy. I´m so very proud of the man you became and thank you for your service and dedication to keeping everyone safe.
God Bless your love ones and rest in peace Scotty!
