Stanley L. "Beaver" Mars

Stanley Mars, a retired roofer, was born Feb. 26, 1956, in Baton Rouge, and died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He leaves behind children, Kimberly Washington, Toia F. and husband Willie Temple, Taneshia Fisher, Theadore and wife Brittany Fisher, Tiffany Fisher and Trenton Fisher; six grandchildren, niece, nephew, brothers, Larry and wife Kristi Mars, Casey and wife Cynthia Mars, and Edward Mars Jr. Preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Edward and Everline Mars; sister, Ethel Fergerson; and granddaughter, Trinity Fisher. Viewing at Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St., on Thursday, May 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service at St. Luke No. 1 Baptist Church, Woodville, Miss., Friday, May 6, at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
