I am extremely sad to see that Steve has passed. I met Steve in 1979-80 when my girlfriends lived across the street from him. He taught me how to play racquetball in the LSU Dungeon courts. He was eccentric, kind, funny, compassionate and he was a really great friend. My friends moved but I would still play a few games with him at LSU but our college paths were going in different directions. I have only seen him a few times since he and I graduated from LSU. I am happy he had a great family and life. My sincere condolences to his Wife, Children, Family and Friends. I know he will be missed because he was one of the good guys on this planet. May God give special grace to help his Family through these difficult days and weeks.

Joanna,
I am very sad to learn of Steve's passing. He was always such a fun guy to be around, and I have great memories of all of us hanging out together, usually where there was great food and great music. He will truly be missed.

Beautiful obit. To my mind, he had all of life’s proper priorities; family, food, fishing and guitars. Life well lived. You did good my friend.

I worked with Steve over the last couple of years and he was a great conversationalist and a valued and respected coworker. Our conversation always ended up talking about food. He kept me posted on speciality food items on sale at various stores. We shared recipes and discussed the menu for the next weekend. Steve went out of his way to make sure you felt welcomed and I considered him a good friend. He will be missed. Prayers to everyone in the Anselmo family.
