Ta-Wana Johnson Obituary

Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Ta-Wana Gayle Johnson entered into eternal peace on September 17, 2022, at her home in Baton Rouge, LA. with her loved ones by her side. Ta-Wana was born August 31, 1956 to the union of the late Johnny Leo Banks Jr. and Georgia Mae Banks. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Katrica Yvette Hills and sister Johnnye Denise Williams. She married Leonard D. Johnson on October 5, 1987 at Open Faith Tabernacle. Ta-Wana leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving children Alisha L. Coates (Gregory I), Oscar Hills IV, Sedrick J. Hills I (Charmelle), Erick D. Hills Sr. (Tina), Manjaro T. Hills Sr. (Keisha), Orsha G. McKenney (Anwar Sr.), Lennon D. Johnson Sr. (Charlene). A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis Street, Baton Rouge, LA., 9:00 am until religious service at 11:00 am. Interment Southern Memorial Gardens, Baton Rouge, LA. Father Thomas Clark, SJ officiating. Funeral Services Entrusted to Hall Davis and Son. www.halldavisandson.com
