William Beatty Jr. Obituary
After graduating from BRHS in 1958, he continued his education at LSU and later served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Day Beatty; daughters, Ashley Beatty Llaneza (Manny), Chaille Newsom (Will); sons, Bill Beatty III,(Dyan), and Scott Beatty (Jamie); grandchildren, Anna, Jules, Blake, Brennon (Allison), Curran, Manny, Luke, and Banks; siblings, Marshall Beatty, Christine Beatty, Clayton Beatty (Bird), David Beatty, Michael Beatty (Marrene) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Dot Perkins Beatty; sister Patti Beatty Chaney.
He was a member of many clubs and associations, but he loved the Capital City Beekeepers Association (CABA) which he started many years ago.
Bill's interest were varied from Hydro boat racing, all LSU sports, crawfish boils, reading about WWII, to spending as much time as he could in Bay St. Louis, Ms.
Bill was a dad, grandfather , brother, friend, teacher, a fair and honest man, but mostly he will be remembered as a true Southern Gentleman.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at a Celebration of Life gathering to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to "Go Fideau Rescue", Venmo @Go Fideau Rescue, PayPal @Go Fideau Rescue Inc.

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. We always enjoyed talking with him when he called. He will be missed, especially for his humor and kindness.

Pops was a true gentleman, he made everyone around him feel special. His bright smile and big hugs made you feel the true southern warmth of his heart. He will be missed by many, may he rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
