Youla "Tut" James, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 14, 2018. A resident and native of St. Amant, LA. Visiting at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy. 429, St. Amant, LA on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Joshua Johnson. Entombment at Holy Rosary Mausoleum. Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta J. and Henry Kinler, and Annette J. and Al St. Pierre; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kermit J. and Kathy James, Randy P. and Mary James, and Paul J. James and Angela Artigue; three sisters, Yvonne Arellano, Leonatine Morin, and Deanna Decoteau; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, Hyrom E. James; daughter, Hermine J. Himel; two grandchildren, Mary Andra and Trevor Poche; parents, Omar and Emma Parent; three sisters; and four brothers. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ascension Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
