Brian Douglas Ford

1937 - 2023

Brian Douglas Ford, 86, passed away peacefully on November 24, at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. following a long illness.
Born to John K. Ford and Marie (Smith) Ford on October 14, 1937. He graduated from Cantwell High School in 1954 and the University of San Diego in 1961 majoring in accounting.
He was united in marriage to Katie Egan on October 30, 1965. They had two children, Brent Daniel and Erin Elizabeth.
Prior to starting his own business, he worked for National Cash Register and Le Febure Corp., where he set records as a top salesman. He started Ford Financial Equipment in 1979 where he put his stamp on the banking numatic tube system, being the first one west of the Mississippi.
Brian and Katie, residents of Alpine for fifty years, became involved in community activities. He served on the Palo Verde board, Queen of Angels board and MC'd at the Alpine Summer Concerts.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rick and sister Pat Cascia.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, of 58 years, his children, Brent and Erin and his grandchildren Jakeb and Briana, his sister, Kathy Bolton and many nieces and nephews.
Friday, a funeral mass will be celebrated, January 5, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Queen of Angels church in Alpine, CA.
