Arnold Perry Obituary
He was born in Anderson County to the late John Willie and Ruby Franklin Perry.
He was a member of the Corinth Christian Church and attended First Baptist Church.
He served in the Armed Forces of the United States as Private 1st Class from 1954-1956 where he was a mail clerk in Kaleen, Texas. He returned home to Lawrenceburg where he and Joanne started farming on the Vowels Farms. They maintained a dairy for many years. They grew many acres of tobacco, corn, and wheat; and had sheep, hogs, beef cattle and horses.
Perry was an avid gardener, grew and canned many vegetables each year, along with giving many vegetables away to the neighbors.
Perry was blessed with the ability to captivate an audience with stories of love, life, family, and friends. His laughter, joy for life, love of people, family, and friends will truly be missed as he enters eternal life to be with God.
He is survived by a daughter, Anne (Dennis) Stidham; a son, Klien (Peggy) Perry; a sister, Nancy Bowen; and a brother, John Allen (Wanda) Perry, all of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Kristin (Scott) Hollingsworth, Travis (Candace) Perry, and Matthew Stidham; and four great-grandchildren, Scotty Hollingsworth, Morgan, Trenton, and Karlee Perry.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Kathleen Perry and Helen Hume, and a brother, Ronnie Perry.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Randy Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church T.V. Ministry, 111 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
Casketbearers will be Travis Perry, Matthew Stidham, Mark Crutcher, Mitch Brown, Sean Perry and Tim Perry.
Honorary bearers will be Billy Joe Hume, Scott Hollingsworth, Tim Norton, Tim Thompson and John Crutcher.
