Hedy Katharyn Shouse Barnett, 92

Hedy Katharyn Shouse Barnett, age 92, wife of the late Jake "J.R." Barnett, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at her home in Anderson County. Hedy was born June 25, 1933, in Frankfort, Ky. to the late Richard Berry Shouse and Elizabeth Vandiver Mayewski.
Hedy was a member of Fairview Christian Church and a former employee with Jim Beam Brands Distillery, retiring after 30 years of employment. Hedy was an avid reader, but she also enjoyed being on the go, looking for a good Peddler Mall to visit.
Including her husband and parents, Hedy was preceded in death by her son, Lowell Wayne Barnett; and her siblings, Mary Evelyn Shouse Campbell, James Thomas "Tommy" Shouse, Johnny B. "J.B." Shouse and Joan Lee Shouse.
Hedy is survived by her two daughters, Glenda Gay and Libby Ann Goodlett (Drew), all of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Taylor Westerfield, Brent Campbell and Dawn Cheek; great-grandchildren, Cory Doss, Brey Gorrell and Magnolia Westerfield; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Al Peach officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday Oct. 21 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
