Nancy Lunsford Obituary

Nancy Carol Lunsford, 67
LAWRENCEBURG

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate the memory of Nancy Carol Lunsford (Grider) – a woman whose love, laughter, and devotion touched everyone she met.
Nancy, a daughter, sister, wife, mama, nana and friend, passed away peacefully on Nov. 15, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on Aug. 18, 1958, Nancy's life was filled with warmth, laughter and a passion for the simple things. She found her greatest joy in her family – whether cheering for her grandbabies, sharing a meal, traveling, or simply lending a helping hand. Togetherness was her source of happiness, and she always made it a point to be present for those she loved.
Nancy was a tireless worker. She never shied away from physical labor and took pride in being a working wife. She dedicated 21 years to Pilkington, formerly known as L & N Glass, in Versailles, Ky., where she formed friendships that lasted long after she punched her final timecard in 2011. At home, she hated to be still. She enjoyed keeping a clean house, mowing the lawn and most of all, helping family and friends in need. If she could lighten someone's load, she did not wait to be asked.
Nancy is survived by her loving family, who will carry her spirit forward.
She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Ricky Lunsford, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Their love story began when she was just 15 and together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, resilience and a bond that grew stronger over time.
She was the best, most supportive and protective mama to her daughters, Amanda (Jonathan) Coulter and Tracy (Jesse) Gritton. They felt her unwavering love, comfort and reassurance in everything she did.
Nancy's four grandchildren, Dominic (20), Kylie (19), Carly (15) and Sydney (13) were her pride and joy. Her legacy lives on in them, in their smiles, their determination and the love they carry forward.
Nancy is also survived by her sisters, Betty (William) Carroll and Janice (Cecil) Harlow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruby Grider and two sisters, Myrtie Blackburn and Shirley Beasley (Grider).
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, with Don Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5–8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Nancy had many nieces and nephews, some of whom have the honor of serving as pallbearers, Jenny Harlow, Jason Beasley, Jonathan Beasley, Michael Carter, Paul Lunsford and Virgil Wesley Lunsford. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Coomer and Brian Lunsford.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown love and compassion during this difficult time. Your support and kindness have provided great comfort, and we thank you for being a part of Nancy's life. As we remember Nancy, let us honor her legacy of limitless love, infectious laughter and boundless spirit. She may have left this world in body, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg. Condolences may be shared at www.ritchieandpeach.com.
