Cy Banick Obituary
Cy was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He attended West Side High School, The University of Georgia and Augusta College, majoring in Business Management and Education. He taught math and science for many years in the Augusta area. He was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.
He is the son of Nancy Barrett Banick and the late Cyril Joseph Banick, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Banick Wright Schumacher, and brother, James Henley Banick. He is survived by his niece, Mary Katherine Banick, and nephews, William Barrett Wright, and Benjamin Lawson Banick.

Dear Nancy and family, I am so sad to hear of Cy's passing. Gene and I loved talking to him about sailing and bought a sunfish from Cy which provided many years of fun for our family. When I heard Cy prayed for at mass today, I waxed nostalgic for our Greenbrier days and of course I thought about my childhood model Martha. My mom would always say, "Martha is such a nice girl' so I looked up to her at ballet.
I am sorry it has been a few years since we have talked Nancy. Times like this make me miss mom and dad who thought so much of our back door neighbors. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
