Dorothy Holden Obituary

Dorothy L. Holden, 96, of Augusta, Georgia, entered into the arms of Jesus on September 13, 2023.

Dorothy was a devoted wife to the late Wallace R. Holden, Sr., and mother to her three children, Sandra Holden McKinney (William), Wallace R. Holden, Jr. (Patricia), and Kenneth L. Holden, Sr. (Brenda). Dorothy had eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers; she is survived by one brother, Stanley Huffman. Dorothy was a member in the Christ Episcopal Church (Augusta) for many years where she served on the Altar Guild and enjoyed tending to the garden with her sister, Naomi. She also worked at the Augusta Arsenal during World War II assembling guns for the war effort.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Our Savior Episcopal Church located at 4227 Columbia Rd., Martinez, GA, 30907.
