James Oellerich Obituary

Entered into rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, Mr. James Edward Oellerich, Jr., 88, husband of 68 years to Mrs. Joanne Daniel Oellerich.

Edward was a native of Augusta, Georgia, and member of Warren Baptist Church. He founded Highview Construction in 1970, where he developed property and built homes for 40 years. Edward was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing alongside of his sons, grandchildren and many friends. And most of all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Family members in addition to his wife Joanne include his children: Benjamin Edward Oellerich (Teresa), Jonathan Brian Oellerich, David Spencer Oellerich, James Douglas Oellerich (Leslie), Stephanie Ann Strength (Howard); grandchildren: Stacy Nicole Oblak (Todd), Justin Benjamin Oellerich (Mary Katherine), Kelly Ann Trapp (Taylor), Matthew Jonathan Oellerich, Suzanne Marlene Oellerich, William David Oellerich, Logan Alyse Oellerich, Jacob Douglas Oellerich, Dalton Howard Strength, Ethan Daniel Strength, Owen Edward Strength, Carson Rose Brennan, Addison Grace Brennan; great grandchildren: Lillian Grace Oblak, Kaden Shaw Bradford, Olivia Ann Trapp, Emersyn Elise Trapp, Laine Davis Trapp, Violet Kylie Phillips and Layla Mahlin Phillips; niece: Leah Ann Eldridge (Craig); great niece: Lauren Eldridge Smith (Andrew); and great-great nieces: Aria and Brooklyn Smith. Ed was preceded in death by his parents James and Lillian Oellerich, Sr. and sister Muriel Elizabeth Livingston.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
