Linda Coleman-Wright Obituary

Linda Michelle Coleman-Wright, passed away on February 28, 2023 in Augusta, Georgia.

Linda was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Richard and Joyce Coleman on November 4, 1958. She graduated from Philadelphia High School For Girls at 16 years old and received a double major Bachelor's degree at age 20 from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

She began her professional career in the pharmaceutical sales industry. She transitioned to working with Hunt Wesson Foods which she talked about often and seemed to enjoy. She soon found a more comfortable position working with family at Ford Motor Company in sales and finance.

She met and married a podiatrist named John Wright, and they soon blessed the world with two phenomenal children Liana and Jacob. Linda served as Business Manager for Dr. Wright for over 20 years.

Many would say Linda found a true calling when she worked as a project manager for several organizations in various fields on the local and national level. She was the silent catalyst for many successful programs in her community that improved the quality of life for all involved. Linda was most proud of her work in partnership with Feeding America and Golden Harvest Food Bank. She was a devoted woman of God who always found a church home, no matter where she landed. She ran the Gospel Water Branch Resource Center for Elderly Adults for nearly a decade. Linda was a reliable and intensely active member of Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church, serving as board member as well as a Deaconess and Christian Educator. She is most famous for her class entitled "Igniting A Passion To Pray", which garnered viewership and attendance nationwide.

Linda is survived by brother Richard Thomas Coleman II, sister Jessica Grey, daughter Liana Michelle Wright, son Jacob Alexander Wright, daughter in law Alexandra Carroll Wright, and grandson Alexander Joseph (AJ) Wright, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her immensely.

I was so saddened by the passing of Sister Wright! She was very compassionate about whatever ministry she was involved in doing! Her Christian manner, loving , caring, and devoted spirit will be missed! I will always remember how devoted and dedicated she was in getting GWBBC Elderly Home operational. It was a pleasure working with her! R.I.P. Sister Wright!
