Robin O’Neal Obituary

Mrs. Robin Howard O'Neal, beloved wife of the later Herbert Donald O'Neal, entered into rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

The family invites friends to a graveside service to be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Dr. Sandra Kennedy will officiate.

Robin was born and raised in Albany, Georgia. From the time she was 4 until she was 27, she was enrolled in dance classes- tap, ballet, and jazz-and loved the annual recitals with all the beautiful costumes. People used to say she was born to dance. Dance was her passion until she met the Lord at age 26. Then He became her passion. Though His light eclipsed everything else, she never lost her love of dance.

She earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Georgia and later a master's degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University. Later she was enrolled in Christian Life School of Theology where she earned a bachelor's degree in theology, a master's degree in divinity, and a Doctorate in Ministry.

Robin spent most of her working career in the Human Resources field, her last position being Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Medical College of Georgia.

In July1982, the most important event in her life occurred-she met the Lord Jesus and was born again. She fell in love with Him and served Him with gladness and joy for 43 years. She was totally committed to Him and loved walking with Him day by day. He was her heart and her passion. He used her regularly in intercessory prayer.

Robin attended Whole Life Ministries for 26 years and there she learned a love for the Word of God and learned how to stand on His Word in times of trials and adversities. She so loved Pastor Kennedy – a gifted, anointed teacher of the Word whom she said had impacted her life in many ways, and more than any other preacher ever had. She used to say that she had attended some great churches over the years, but none compared to Whole Life.

After she left the workforce, she became a volunteer staff member at The Healing Center (an outreach of Whole Life Ministries) for 17 years where she was a classroom teacher, conducted one-on-one sessions for participants, participated on healing teams, and worked on various administrative projects. She used to say The Healing Center was "a little slice of Heaven." She enjoyed teaching and loved ministering to individuals.

She also served the Church as a prayer-line worker and a Support Group Leader.

For the past 1 years and 6 months, Robin had been producing transcripts of Pastor's Sunday messages to be provided to the congregation each month. Transcribing those messages was a real joy for her. She always looked forward to sitting down at her computer on Sunday afternoons and transcribing those powerful, life-changes messages.

In 1995, the second most important event in her life occurred. She married Don O'Neal, the love of her life. When she spoke of him, she often called him "her beloved." Don was a godly man and a gifted piano player who brought music to her life and joy to her heart. Don was deceased in 2023, the most devastating time of her life, but she was blessed to have him as her husband for 28 years. She has been looking forward to being reunited with him in Heaven.

Robin is survived by her two brothers Richie and Flash along with her sisters-in-law Regina and Lee Ann and her precious nieces and nephews. Robin never had children but she called her nieces and nephews "her babies." They were all a joy to her. She was so proud of each one of them. She has always been so proud of her brothers and used to say she had the best brothers in the whole world. They are good men, and they are godly men. The three of them were always close, but after Don went home they looked after her. She knew she could always count on them if she ever needed help. They took good care of her. She always said she had the best family anyone could ever have.

She is home. She is now enjoying the glories of Heaven and enjoying watching her beloved play in the heavenly orchestra. She is, no doubt, blissfully happy and exuberant.
