I have known Bro. Mike since 1989 when I joined the nursing faculty at Elms College. My students participated in the the Elms CaReVan, a free clinic on wheels he implemented as his DNP project that served the homeless of Chicopee. We took students on several medical missions to Jamaica, WI, where we worked in established inner city clinics and set up clinics in the bush. We also exchanged text messages from time to time since leaving Elms. I will miss his annual letter at Christmas time which was rich with updates on his life and niece and nephew he was so proud of. The last time I saw him was when we met up for coffee in Ellicott City, MD just over a year ago. He was a close personal friend and colleague. He left the world a better place for the contributions he made to the profession of nursing, his patients, and the many people who were blessed to know him. May he rest in peace.

Br. Duffy was such a great addition to our board of directors. Coupled with his daily ministry at the center he will be truly missed. He really took the role of helping others as Christ has said we should do. May he rest in peace. Amen.

I remember Mike Duffy as a quiet, kind person when we were at Curley together. I'm glad to see he had a full life as a Friar. Rest in Peace Fr. Michael.
