On Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025, David Micheal Kelly departed from us far too soon. After a shocking cancer diagnosis, David faced death the same way he faced life, with strength, grace, and compassion. He passed at 59 years old, his friends and family by his side during his final weeks. David will be remembered for his impeccable sense of humor, quick wit, intelligence, ability to fix anything, and devotion to the ones he loved. David is survived by his wife, Sandy Kelly. The two of them built a beautiful life out of love and laughter. David will also live on through his three children, Clint Kelly (Keri), Carley Kelly (Connor Smith), and Corinne Westbrooks (Harry); all of whom share his love for classic rock and horror movies, as well as a zany sense of humor. He will be remembered as Pappy to his two grand-babies, River and Camden Westbrooks. David is also survived by his two sisters, Jenny McCoy (Paul) and Becky McCoy (David), he cherished his memories with them growing up in Spencerville, Maryland. Somewhere in heaven there's a boat on a river, Dave's cast a line, while yacht rock plays through the radio. When he's done, there's a bar with football on, DC's up, and Dave's at a high top with a cold beer and a crab dip. He's saving a seat and some bites for when we join him. A viewing will be held Sunday, July 27th, from 3:00pm-5:00pm, at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie. David's funeral service will take place at the Mid Atlantic Community Church in Crofton on Monday, July 28th, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Pancreatic Foundation, 1760 Centre Street, Suite A, Rapid City, South Dakota 57703.
