Elizabeth Dixon Obituary
Elizabeth A. Dixon, a cherished soul and beloved member of the Glen Burnie, Maryland community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on Thursday, December 10th, 1942, in Syracuse, New York, Elizabeth lived a full and vibrant life, marked by love, dedication, and a profound impact on all who knew her.
Elizabeth spent the last 25 years of her life in Glen Burnie, where she became a pillar of her community. She enjoyed an illustrious career as a publicist and retired in 2022 from Wolters Kluwer, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and passion for her work.
Elizabeth was a woman of many interests, including camping, frequent trips to Ocean City, and a devotion to her family. She was known for her love of church, fishing, and crabbing, all of which she often enjoyed alongside her beloved husband, Ralph Edward Dixon, who preceded her in death after 63 years of joyful marriage. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her dear mother, Lillian Smith.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie Walker; her cherished grandson, Brian Hartel (Amber Smith); granddaughters Shana King and Alexus King; and her precious great-granddaughters, Alexus King, Cali King and Bailee Smith, along with great-granddaughter Alexiz Collins and great-great-granddaughter Nevaeh King.
Though the loss is immeasurable, Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and strength that will continue to guide and inspire her family. Her memory will be celebrated at a memorial service officiated by Reverend Bowman at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at 2:00 pm. There will also be an afternoon visitation at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on the day of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, in gratitude for their compassionate care.
Elizabeth's light may have dimmed, but the glow of her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
