Gary Irons Obituary

Gary Shaw Irons was born June 29, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA, and passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 86. Gary is survived by his former wife, Jennese Thompson (Dague) and many loving friends and neighbors. He is predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Clarence P. Irons. Gary grew up in Inglewood, CA and graduated from Inglewood High in 1956. In 1960 he graduated from the University of Southern California, then served in the U.S Navy for four years. After his time in the Navy, Gary worked in Santa Monica, CA for Systems Development Corporation. He met, and then married Jennese in 1968. The two continued to travel and share wonderful times together even after they were no longer married. Gary moved to MD in the early 1990s, and settled in Marriottsville, MD in 1995 where he worked for L3 Communications until his retirement. Gary enjoyed bowling, music, baking, nature and especially photography. He was an active member of the Carroll County Camera Club in Westminster. Gary was loved and will be remembered and greatly missed. There will a graveside service for Gary at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 7th at Springfield Cemetery, 7300 Spout Hill RD, Sykesville, MD 21784.
